Job Summary:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure. You will assist in defining requirements, designing, and building data center technology components while also supporting testing efforts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepare moderate to complex network designs and schematics to address customer network solution requirements for Fortinet firewalls and network security.

Prepare work orders with instructions for technicians to configure network hardware and software for Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls.

Collaborate with customer technical teams to provide solutions for internetworking communication requirements.

Configure and troubleshoot FortiManager, Panorama, Fortinet, and Palo Alto equipment in a complex environment.

Provide remote support for new installations, upgrades, logical changes, and policy changes.

Work with B2B IPsec tunnel configuration and ensure proficiency in Layer 7 NGFW features and threat protection.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must-have Skills:

Data center firewall setup

Fortinet firewall and Palo Alto Firewalls

F5 Load Balancer

Good-to-have Skills:

FortiManager, FortiFirewall, Palo Alto Firewall, Panorama

SSL VPN (FortiClient or GlobalProtect)

Excellent troubleshooting skills in Fortinet and Palo Alto Firewalls

Expertise in IPSEC, SSL VPN, and firewall hardware

Experience in network protocols, advanced security features, and firewall architecture

Experience in software patch management

Experience managing client networks and firewall configurations

Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident & Change Management)

Proficiency in network deployment, transitions, and transformations

Experience with network monitoring tools like Wireshark

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintain and provide firewall design, protocols, security, and redundancy solutions.

Troubleshoot critical incidents and problem tickets.

Identify potential failures and recommend solutions.

Update knowledge base with known errors/resolutions.

Provide day-to-day operational support for in-scope devices.

Support hardware requirements, baselines, and core-level debugging.

Work on network projects and data center-level deployments.

Coordinate with clients for hardware requirements and configurations.

Follow ITIL processes for fault management, incident resolution, and change implementation.
